==Amending Existing Notes==

You may be required to amend a note for any number of reasons. For example, you may spot a syntax error in the description or something that doesn't meet the standards of a note. The descriptions can be amended in the Notes section of admin. However, a more common amendment is to add a state, legislative type, and/or stage to a note.
If one or more statuses require a note and you don't see one in admin for that entry, you won't necessarily be required to create a new note. Notes are organized by state, legislative type, and stage. Any of these can be added to an existing note. For example, the note you're looking for might be available for resolutions for that specific state, but you discover that it also applies to some bills. You can simply add legislation as a type for that note.
To amend a note, click the "Bill Notes" link in admin and search for the note for the appropriate state. If you're unsure of what search terms to use, leave the text box blank and all of the notes for that state will be displayed. From there, you can amend the description and add or remove states, legislative types, and stages. Here's an example:
