======Entering Votes - Finding Sponsors & Cosponsors======----

====California====

**Example: SB 1010
**
Go to the **[[http://leginfo.legislature.ca.gov/faces/billSearchClient.xhtml CA Bill Search Tool]]** and enter in the bill number. This will redirect you to the bill documents page.

To obtain a list of sponsors and cosponsors, click on the "Status" tab at the top of the bill status page. The bill history does list the sponsor (marked as AUTHOR), but it will not list the cosponsors. Once you've clicked on the "Status" tab, a separate window will open:

{{image class="center" url=<a href="https://imgur.com/sFJ1SJn"><img src="https://i.imgur.com/sFJ1SJn.png" title="source: imgur.com" /></a>}}

The sponsor is listed next to the "AUTHOR(S)" headline, and the cosponsors are listed next to the "Coauthors" headline, which is also next to the "AUTHOR(S)" headline but contained within parentheses.

On the occasion that "Principal Co-Authors" are listed, they should be marked as "Co-Sponsors".

Therefore, the PVS website will have both sponsors and cosponsors listed for this state, if applicable. In this case the sponsor is Sen. Mitchell, and the cosponsors are Sens. Hancock, Lara, and Leno, and Reps. Bocanegra, Bradford, Donnelly, Eggman, Gonzalez, Hall, Holden, Jones-Sawyer, Quirk, Ridley-Thomas, Skinner, Stone, Ting, and Weber.
