When inputting the bill number into admin, the prefix is just as important as the number. This is necessary for the importation of the link to the bill text. Always use the following prefixes in admin:
- House:
- Bill: "HR"
- Resolution: : "H Res"
- Joint Resolution:: "H J Res"
- Concurrent Resolution: "H Con Res"
- Amendment: "H Amdt"
- Senate:
- Bill: "S"
- Resolution: "S Res"
- Joint Resolution: "H J Res."
- Concurrent Resolution: "S Con Res"
- Amendment: "S Amdt"
- Nomination: "PN _-_"
Here is an example of how the information must be entered into admin and the data that is imported both in admin and on the website:
- U.S. Congress - S 3628 (Senate Cloture Votes), 2010.

If you were to click the link on the website, it won't necessarily take you directly to the bill text. If there is only one version of the bill text, the link will open the bill text. However, if there are multiple versions of the bill text, it will instead open a webpage that provides links to all versions of the bill text. Here is an example of each:
- U.S. Congress - S 3628 (Senate Cloture Votes), 2010. (Only one version of the text).
- U.S. Congress - HR 5297 (House Concurrence Vote), 2010. (Multiple versions of the text).
