**"Establishes" Examples:**


	- A 159-B (NY, 2009):

	// -Establishes a fee of $10 for every horse entered into a pari-mutuel race within the state of New York (Part V).//
	

	- SB 590 (MD, 2010):

	// -Establishes a Public School Labor Relations Board to consist of the following members, all of whom are to be appointed by the Governor and confirmed by the Senate for 5 year terms (Sec. 1):
		 —1 member to represent the public;
		 —2 members chosen from candidate lists submitted by public school employee unions; and
		 —2 members chosen from candidate lists submitted by the Maryland Association of Boards of Education and the State Superintendents Association of Maryland.//
		

**Incorrect Usage Example:**

~Wrong phrasing:// "-Establishes that individuals are required to register their motor vehicles with the Department of Motor Vehicles (Sec. 2)."//
~Correct phrasing:// "-Requires individuals to register their motor vehicles with the Department of Motor Vehicles (Sec. 2)."//
