I don't have a screenshot for this page because I have no idea what it's going to look like. Hopefully we can have some sort of 1-click donation system that will charge the amount of the donation to the user's cell phone bill. Otherwise it will have to go to the page where you enter your credit card information - which is not desirable, obviously, since it's hard to enter lots of text on a phone.

in terms of navigation, the "Donate Now" button would link to this page. I envision the Donate Now button popping up at some point in the session if the user has been playing with our app for a while. Or we could leave it as shown in the menu pages, as a stable link.

Feedback:
Kristen: in-app payments via Google or Apple would take a 30% cut. Apple doesn't allow donations in-app : "21.1 Apps that include the ability to make donations to recognized charitable organizations must be free. 21.2 The collection of donations must be done via a web site in Safari or an SMS." So, it seems that for an Iphone app, we'd want to redirect to a mobile-optimized version of our donate page (which we should be doing anyway). For an Android app, would cybersource integrate, geeks? Otherwise we can look at Intuit, paypal, square, etc. Content would be a form mirroring the info collected on latest votesmart.org donate page and brief copy

Carly: Ya, I looked in to this last year; as easy and convenient as text-to-donate is (the Red Cross makes millions on this, but with an agreement with AT&T), we are unable to follow this model because as a membership based org, we need to receive contact information for each donation in order to further cultivate these donors. Text-to-donate models, and working and with cell phone companies (who do take a cut, whether initially or for every donation), do not release the contact information for their customers. So, either we have an app page form created where users input their credit card information and contact details on their mobile device, or we just make sure votesmart.org/donate is mobile friendly; that appears to be our only options.
