I mean, I shouldn’t be afraid of disappointing random strangers in a game of Overwatch 2, or worrying they think less of me because I don’t know how to stop feeding as D.Va or suck at hooking folks with Roadhog. If being tank is thrown at me when I queue for all roles, I stick to a reliable hero who is fairly hard to fuck up - like Orisa. She moves slowly, but has plenty of hit points and abilities designed to deflect attacks and heal your allies. Doomfist, Sigma, and Zarya are a little more varied, and I’d need to practice standing a chance at not sucking so bad. But with only a single tank role to fill and a fairly toxic player base, outside of playing against AI and mucking about in the firing range, that opportunity has been taken away.

Https://Overwatch2Tactics.Com/ 2’s launch had so many dire issues, from long queues for games and progression transfers to frequent disconnects to DDOS attacks, that Blizzard offered a double XP weekend to say sowwy . A second starts on October 28, and another on November 24. There’s also a legendary Reaper skin up for grabs if you log in anytime before October

I’m confused by Overwatch 2’s ranked system, and I’m irritated because I think confusion was the goal. While the relaunch (because I refuse to call it a sequel) has made the in-match scoreboard more transparent, it's also made the ranked ladder so obscure that it feels like trying to ascend a staircase in an M.C. Escher painting. I think I understand what Blizzard is going for, but I can’t help but feel like there’s a lot of room for improvem

Blizzard has done the impossible - it's got gamers liking loot boxes . No, not because it improved upon the controversial microtransaction, but because it replaced them with something even worse: the Overwatch 2 battle pa

So many battle pass issues are mounting that players are actually pining for the return of loot boxes . Loot boxes! It’s like being stabbed so many times you wish you could go back to being shot inst

The biggest annoyance for many players is the fact that the only way to earn currency without paying is to complete weekly challenges. One of which involves getting ten team kills - which is actually reduced from the original

Every game has bugs at launch, but in a competitive team shooter, ultimates being broken are a cause for concern. Cassidy’s High Noon looks bugged, as it completely missed its targets in some player’s games - not very deadeye cowboy of

Others in the replies agree, and feel that switching off chat doesn't even put players at a disadvantage. "In my experience, only about 10% of comms in Gold and below are productive callouts," says TallAfternoon2. "The other 90% is either toxicity, or someone telling people to switch characte

However, Blizzard giveth and Blizzard taketh away . Torbjorn and Bastion were removed from the game briefly due to glitches that made them too overpowered . They should be coming back this week. The Bastion glitch allowed him to fire off his ultimate constantly for its eight-second duration, and Torbjorn's Overload ability was lasting twice as long as inten

Ultimately players will still find themselves in the rank they belong in eventually. This doesn’t make climbing easier or harder in the long run, it’s just a psychological trick. We’ll have to see how the playerbase responds to it throughout the first season, but my gut says most people are like me and would prefer transparency, no matter how marsh that reality might

Being a tank is scary. You need to lead the way, make the decisions, and be the driving force for your team that encourages them to push forward and claim victory. I’ve written about the role in Final Fantasy 14 and how it will never be for me, but Overwatch was an exception.

A smaller team and more concentrated strategic focus for each player in Overwatch 2 is definitely a good thing, but it also presents a higher skill ceiling for us to meet if we want to perform well and not let people down. I am a decent DPS player, but now I can hang with the best when it comes to heroes like Moira, Lucio, or Mercy. So I stick with them, staying in my lane instead of risking old favourites that might get people moaning at me as I fail to do things correctly. This shouldn’t be a problem, and the majority of it is definitely on me, but Overwatch 2 has brought back a lingering multiplayer anxiety I thought I had conquered.

Say for example your adjustment came on your seventh win and you’re put into Gold 1. In the old system, this would mean you have somewhere between 2399 and 2499 SR. If you have 2491 SR after your seventh win, then you should be only one win away from hitting Platinum. Now, you have to win seven more games before you get another adjustment. And if you happen to lose more than you win in this set, you might never see Platinum this season, even if you won the first game after the adjustm

Described as unrewarding and grindy - and tied to an in-game store that's overpriced - Overwatch fans are longing for the days of randomized loot. They also complain that the change in how to earn in-game currency is making them "toxic", as they're primarily focused on completing challenges to unlock skins, rather than enjoying the game. All in all, players are looking for big changes to Overwatch 2's economy, feeling that it's taken on far too many of the negative traits associated with free-to-play ga
