===Political Courage Test Communications===
The Political Courage Test Administrator will be responsible for overseeing most forms of candidate contact, via mail, email and phone. Communication is a major aspect of the Political Courage Test Administrator role. Throughout these communications, it's important for the administrator to coordinate with other departments as necessary, log all noteworthy candidate communications, and avoid errors, particularly in mass communications. Careless errors can result in candidates receiving the wrong login information, or receiving a warning message too early or late in the process, among other potential mistakes.
The PCT Master Calendar will guide the timing of communications throughout any election. However, each election will present unexpected delays and obstacles, so it's important to be flexible and adjust the plan accordingly, working with the necessary directors and staff.
Generally, the candidate communication process for each election cycle will include the following steps:
- Creation of the PCT Master Calendar, to include key dates for planned, bulk communications
- Creation and approval of bulk mailing text, email messages and call scripts. Bulk mailings and email messages must be approved by the National Director and President.
- Resource preparation, including an inventory of mailing supplies
- Scheduled bulk mailings, emails, and calls to candidates, detailed in the PCT Master Calendar
- Individual email and phone communications with candidates as they aries
- Coordination with the Development and Communications Department to release Political Courage Test results to news media
