Wiki source for PublicLawNumber
======Congress - Public Law Number======----
If a piece of legislation is signed into law by the President, the process for creating this status is the same as it is on the state level (President's name must be uploaded in the View Votes/Action window and the "sign" option must be selected), with one exception: the public law number must be entered into admin. The number is listed fairly conspicuously next to the "Latest Major Action" headline on congress.gov, surrounded by other information about the bill, including sponsor, title assigned by the sponsor, and related bills. The public law number is usually a set of two numbers, for example "113-241" or "113-9" (never enter, for example, "113-009"). This number must be typed into the "Law" text box in admin, which is located at the top of the screen where the introduced status is created. The public law number will be listed on the website next to the President's signature status. Here is an example:
- //U.S. Congress - HR 5297, 2010.//
