To Obtain Voting Records
- Go to ALISON
- Check the top of the page; make sure you are in the correct session. If you are not, click on the box stating the session you are viewing. Select the session you wish to view.
- Click on "Bills" and select "Find Status of a Bill".
- Enter the bill number as shown (i.e. HB1001, SB2002) and click "Get Status". This will take you to the bill history page.
- From the bill history page, select the roll call you wish to view.
If a bill has been assigned an act number but there is no Governor action in the bill history
- Go to the Alabama Secretary of State's website: http://www.sos.alabama.gov/
- Click on the "Records" link at the top of the page, and select "Legislative Acts."
- From here, you can click on "Act Number" to search for the bill by its assigned act number under "Legislative Acts Search Options."
- A brief summary of the bill should appear, along with the Governor's action and the date/time of approval.
