For the sake of clarity you should include the bill number of the legislation being amended on the bill summary sheet, though not in Admin. If an amendment is being amended, include that number as well. Here are examples of amendment numbers listed in Admin and on a bill summary sheet.
Deletions:
There is a difference between what is listed on the bill summary sheet and what is listed in admin. On the bill summary sheet, the bill number should include the bill that it's amending after the amendment number (ex: Amdt 8 to HB 2). If the amendment is amending another amendment, that too should be listed (ex: Amdt 8 to Amdt 2 to HB 2). However, this is not listed in the bill number textbox in admin. The bill number in admin is limited soley to the "Amdt" prefix followed by the number. Unless, of course, they don't have a number. In that case, you first list the last name of the sponsor followed by "Amdt." Here's an example of the bill number for an amendment vote listed on the bill summary sheet and in admin:

For amendments, the prefix is always "Amdt" followed by the number assigned to the amendment (ex: Amdt 8). If the state does not assign a number to amendments, use the sponsors name followed by the "Amdt" prefix (ex: "Smith Amdt").

For Congress, "Amdt" must be prefaced by "S" or "H" to indicate the chamber (ex: S Amdt 4326 to S Amdt 4301 to HR 4213). This is required for web importation.
