Entering Votes - Amendment Votes
Other Statuses
The vast majority of the time, amendments will have only two statuses in admin: (1) introduced and (2) key vote status. Do not add statuses related to the legislation it is amending (e.g., House/Senate Passage, etc.). If it's amending another amendment, don't included statuses related to that amendment. The bill history for an amendment is limited solely to the amendment you're entering a vote for. However, from time to time there will be additional statues. For example, if the chamber reconsidered a vote on the amendment there would have to be an additional status. Or, it could be an amendment offered by the Governor which requires a vote in both chambers. Here is an example of the later:
- Virginia - Amdt 91 to HB 30 (House & Senate Amendment Votes), 2010.
