Has my opponent (or other candidate) submitted the PCT?
During the testing period, do not disclose the status of any candidate's PCT to anyone besides the candidate. All PCTs for a state are released to the public at the same time to be fair to all candidates (typically 2 weeks after that state's deadline).

Is he running for an office we cover?
- If not, explain the offices we do cover.
- If yes, see if it is a candidate list we've entered yet.
- If it has been added, check the SOS's candidate list and see if the guy is on it.
- If the guy is now on the candidate list, add him in admin, forward him the biographical information form, and let him know about the PCT. Also, it would probably be a good idea to do an update of this candidate list as soon as possible, since it's clearly been updated.
- If the PCT hasn't been sent out yet for his state, let him know when it will be (it will be on the calendar).
- If the PCT has already been sent out we will want to add him as an exception or courtesy candidate- check with me if you are unsure what to do here.
- If he's not on the SOS's candidate list, let him know that we only include those candidates that will be on the ballot (we only cover write-ins on the Presidential level), and since he's not on the official candidate list at present, we would need some form of certification from him provided by the SOS that he actually will be on the ballot.
- If we haven't entered the SOS's candidate list yet, see if the candidate list is now available.
- If the SOS's candidate list is now available tell him that we are working on adding the candidates. (Make sure this is added to your to-do list if not already!)
- If he is on the SOS's candidate list forward him the bio form and tell him that in the mean time he can fill that out, and let him know about the PCT and approximately when that will be sent out.
- If he is not on the SOS's candidate list, let him know that we only include those candidates that will be on the ballot (we only cover write-ins on the Presidential level), and since he's not on the official candidate list at present, we would need some form of certification from him provided by the SOS that he actually will be on the ballot.
- If the SOS's candidate list is not yet available, tell them that we are waiting on the SOS to make the list available. Remind him that we only include those candidates that will be on the ballot (we only cover write-ins on the Presidential level), but if he knows he will be certified to it at some point, he can go ahead with filling out a Biographical Information form (which you will attach). Be sure to mention the PCT as well.
