Key Vote will often become aware of legislative trends. At times one or two states will pass a bill and over the next few years there will be a wave of states passing similar legislation.
Because Vote Smart aims to be consistent, we have created a list of common bill titles to be used as long as they are appropriate and they appear to be a part of a legislative trend. Summary writers should also consider referring to previously published summaries for tips on writing highlights on bills that are very similar.
Abortion:
