It will be five years after Pacific Rim when sequel Uprising finally arrives in cinemas, which in modern terms means it's essentially a franchise jump-start. After all, the first movie was only a moderate success, but Legendary have big hopes for the follow
The second of Naughty Dog’s two big reveals at last year’s PSX, the cinematic sequel could still be quite a ways off, with Sony not needing to rush the acclaimed studio with their 2018 being as packed as it is. Nonetheless, we may still see the title’s first proper gameplay demo to close out Friday night’s press conference, in addition to finding out some additional details during the associated panel on Saturday.
Over the past few years, Sony has been able to maintain a consistent level of expectations for fans to set for themselves, with E3 and PSX being the two standouts to look forward to for the biggest announcements and updates, and [[https://Strategynewsbase.com/ strategynewsbase.Com]] smaller news pieces being shuffled in throughout the year. After a couple of noteworthy E3s, Sony’s middling press conference at this year’s event left a lot of fans underwhelmed and anxious for more. In a moment of seeming panic, Sony set forth a chain of events that pushed forward a few of their key PSX announcements, including the reveal of Sucker Punch’s Ghost of Tsushima, up to the Paris Games Week press conference, an event that, in the past, had rarely been used for major reveals such as those. Teased as the "second half of E3" , the Paris Games Week presser, while distinctly more filled with new trailers, also ended up being fairly standard and middling, leaving fans to wonder what Sony had left up their sleeves for PSX.
While these bizarre choices to keep certain games longer in the dark than others could be interpreted as Sony having faith in their first-parties to be big sellers without any additional marketing above and beyond the necessary, it instead tends to come across as ignorance at the clear bounty Sony has at their disposal. Fortunately, Sony’s mistakes during the past year have the luxury of being labeled as an "off-year" and can be completely disregarded as Sony continues to make plans for the next year in marketing. If Sony can reinstate a focus on E3 and PSX being the dates for fans to salivate at, and making sure their first-party titles can present something substantial in-between these six month gaps in at least one of the two events, as Sony has proven they can over the past few years, the publisher can return to being the giant to topple at some of the year’s biggest industry events.
In a market as complex as the one that video games are developed, marketed, and sold in, the research data regarding their respective successes or failures is equally complicated. For most gamers, the reports from the NPD Group, one of the most respected analysts when it comes to sales figures, are often where they glean trends in video games - for instance, the June NPD report from this year suggested console sales are slowing down , while a report on last month indicated that NBA 2K17 was doing well in sal
Throughout the year, gaming conventions offer a great opportunity for publishers to unveil and highlight their upcoming lineup for the months ahead. While these anticipated events are often few and far between, each one presents a unique opportunity to showcase the titles fan should keep an eye on, and choosing which games to focus on can often be an overwhelming task. Fans’ desires will rarely line up with the actual schedule for a game’s development and ultimate release, leading to lengthy periods of radio silence followed by a disproportionate amount of details to share that can coincide with equally intriguing releases at the same time. This balancing act is a constant struggle to maintain, particularly due to the unpredictable nature of game development, leading to the inevitable outcome that certain press conferences will prove to be less memorable than others due to the availability of news and announcements.image class="left" url="https://cdn.wccftech.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/01/2016-Strategy-12-Ashes-of-the-Singularity.jpg"

At last week’s opening presser, despite the low expectations Sony had set for fans, the publisher still managed to fall below them, with only a handful of new demos and teasers to satiate an increasingly ravenous group of players after the past few disappointing months. Even seemingly obvious reveals , such as a God of War or Detroit: Become Human release date, or any footage whatsoever for Spider-Man, Ghost of Tsushima, or The Last of Us: Part II, were inexplicably left out, as fans were forced to sit through over two hours of developer interviews and several trailers that were debuted earlier this year, including the night before at the more hypeworthy Game Awards. While this series of events would be more excusable if Sony's 2018 lineup was relatively empty, their inability to capitalize on their packed lineup for 2018, one that arguably stands head and shoulders above the other big two in gaming at this point in time, is jaw-dropping, with no release dates for any of their seven big first-party titles slated for next year, despite several supposedly expected to arrive sometime in the next six months .

A 1:1 reproduction of the real map of Tsushima would probably be doable, but this doesn't mean that Sucker Punch will go for it. As you'll see in Part 2 of my feature, the island is a natural paradise the vast majority of which is covered by mountains and forests. Sucker Punch has been rather clear in mentioning that the game is the biggest they have ever made , and it has been in the oven for quite a while now. One of the interesting aspects of an open-world game is the size of its map. Sucker Punch has been rather clear in mentioning that the game is the biggest they have ever made , and it has been in the oven for quite a while now. A 1:1 reproduction of the real map of Tsushima would probably be doable, but this doesn't mean that Sucker Punch will go for it. As you'll see in Part 2 of my feature, the island is a natural paradise the vast majority of which is covered by mountains and forests. This means that populating it with content is probably easier and quicker than a dense urban environment like Seattle. One of the interesting aspects of an open-world game is the size of its map. If you have played inFamous: Second Son , which is Sucker Punch's latest full-fledged open world game (alongside its spin-off First Light ), the map may have felt large because it was a quite dense urban environment, but it really wasn't one of the biggest open worlds out there. Over the past few years, Sony has been able to maintain a consistent level of expectations for fans to set for themselves, with E3 and PSX being the two standouts to look forward to for the biggest announcements and updates, and smaller news pieces being shuffled in throughout the year. As we approach the year’s end, this time has recently started to bring about two traditions for gaming enthusiasts: The [[https://strategynewsbase.com Strategy Game News|Https://Strategynewsbase.Com/]] Awards and PlayStation Experience. Both bring about their fair share of hype and announcements, but the latter has often done a solid job at preparing PS4 owners for the year ahead, particularly in regards to Sony’s plans for their first-party titles. Heading into 2018, Sony has a potential-filled lineup of varied titles, primarily from studios that have reared their heads after years in silence. While the publisher has hinted at some of their reveals inbound next week over in Anaheim, there’s still plenty more to speculate upon for eight of the PS4’s biggest releases.
David Cage’s latest tale seems to be nearing completion, as President of SIEA Shawn Layden hinted at in an interview back after E3. Having also received multiple gameplay demos, Detroit: Become Human is one of three titles likely to receive a release date during Friday night’s press conference, along with perhaps one more trailer to tease the three protagonists’ journeys in this near-future game.

Not only does the concept of "ghost" make it clear, but at the end we see him in ninja garb, using shinobi tools, and stealth to fight off the Mongol a
The teaser released for SDCC is an in-universe propaganda piece and very much about re-education of the basic premise - manned mechs Jaegers were made to fight invading kaiju. It also features the first appearance of John Boyega's character, a casting that will likely set Uprising above the origi
Yesterday, I read a quote by Wedbush Securities industry analyst Michael Pachter -- with whom I'm sure you're quite familiar -- alleging that Sucker Punch's upcoming open-world game Ghost of Tsushima lacks "broad appeal." Pachter also says that this expands to "anything that has that Japanese flav
