The Vote Smart External Hard Drive is a WD MyPassport. As of writing (October 2019), it is formatted to be compatible with a Mac and/or Windows. If it needs to be used on a Linux computer, it needs to be reformatted. In that case, it would not work on Windows or Mac, where most editing software is available.

Before reformatting, compress everything on the hard drive into a .zip file and upload this to nextcloud.
