Final Webcheck of Election Results

As the title implies, web checks are done solely on the live website.

Visit votesmart.org, select "Elections" in the bottom navigation, and select the appropriate office and state.

If the status of the candidates still says "Running ([election stage that you're doing results for])" or something else is obviously wrong, please inform your supervisor before proceeding with the Webcheck.

The purpose of the web check is to verify that all information presented on our website mirrors the election results. Confirm that all highlighted candidates appear on the list of running candidates. Keep a list of the name/office/district of any candidates missing from the website or people that are on the website but don't appear on your list. Note any corrections that need to be made to your supervisor.

Corrections to election results should only be completed by the Elections Director or Elections Monitoring Associate. This is particularly important during the general election, due to the complexity of making corrections. If making corrections, keep a list of the corrections you make, as they will have to be rechecked by someone else.

Once you have done this for all that state's offices, note it in the spreadsheet and move on to the next one.
