Entering Votes - Finding Sponsors & Cosponsors
Illinois
Example: HR 5
From the bill status page:

At the top of the bill status page is a list of what they refer to as sponsors for each chamber. However, it is in the bill history where they differentiate between sponsor and cosponsor. Therefore you'll want to scroll down and view the history:

The sponsors are clearly labeled on the bill history using either the word "sponsor," "chief sponsor," "alternate sponsor," or in the case of this bill, the member who filed it with the clerk (black arrow). The cosponsors will be clearly labeled cosponsors (red arrow), or "chief cosponsor" or "alternate cosponsor." The differences between chief and alternate sponsors and cosponsors are irrelevant with respect to the work we do at PVS.
Therefore, the PVS website will have both sponsors and cosponsors listed for this state, if applicable. In this case the sponsor is Rep. Madigan and the cosponsors are Reps. Reps. Cross, Currie, Durkin, Acevedo, Arroyo, Beiser, Boland, Bradley, Brosnahan, Burke, Burns, Chapa LaVia, Collins, Colvin, Crespo, D'Amico, Davis (M), Davis (W), Dugan, Farnham, Feigenholtz, Flider, Flowers, Ford, Franks, Fritchey, Froehlich, Golar, Gordon (C), Gordon (J), Graham, Hamos, Hannig, Harris, Elizabeth Hernandez, Hoffman, Holbrook, Howard, Jackson, Jakobsson, Jefferson, Joyce, McAsey, Lang, Lyons, Mautino, May, McGuire, Mendoza, Miller, Nekritz, Osterman, Phelps, Reitz, Riley, Rita, Ryg, Scully Jr., Smith, Soto, Thapedi, Turner, Verschoore, Walker, Washington, Yarbrough, Zalewski, Bassi, Beaubien Jr., Bellock, Biggins, Black, Bost, Brady, Brauer, Cavaletto, Coladipietro, Cole, Connelly, Coulson, Cultra, Eddy, Fortner, Hatcher, Kosel, Leitch, Mathias, McAuliffe, Mitchell (B), Mitchell (J), Moffitt, Mulligan, Myers, Osmond, Pihos, Poe, Pritchard, Ramey Jr., Reboletti, Reis, Rose, Sacia, Saviano, Schmitz, Senger, Sommer, Stephens, Sullivan Jr., Tracy, Tryon, Wait, Watson and Winters
