Introduced Status - Screenshot Guide
Step 1: Create the Introduced Status
Enter the following:
- PVS Title
- Introduced date
- Type (i.e. Legislation, Amendment)
- Bill number
Step 2: Edit the Introduced Status with Sponsors and Co-sponsors
Click "View" next to the Introduced status in the status list.
Enter "1" in the Rank field.
De-select the box that says "No Category" and add categories (use CTRL to add multiple categories).
If applicable, enter tags such as "student-loan", and be sure to use a dash between the words.
Scroll down to the bottom of the page and click "View Votes and Actions".
Do a "Find in This Page" (CTRL+F) for the name(s) of the sponsors and co-sponsors. Click "Add" for each one.
The default action is "co-sponsor". To change the action to "sponsor," click on the individual's name and select the appropriate action from the drop-down menu.
When all of the sponsors and co-sponsors have been entered and their actions modified, exit this window and click Save.
