Bills are mainly sponsored by committees. Sponsors can be found on the the bill text. It is encouraged to download bill texts for selected votes as soon as possible, because if the bill is amended and voted upon by the other chamber, the official Kansas website updates the bill text that is available online and it is more difficult to track down older bill texts. Additionally, and unfortunately, Kansas legislative journal seem to print the roll call votes only for favorable votes, meaning that if a vote fails, there is no official roll call to tell which way lawmakers voted.
