Entering Votes - Finding Sponsors & Cosponsors
Missouri
Example: HB 242
From the bill status page:

On the bill status page, the sponsor of the bill will be listed next to "Sponsor" headline (black arrow) and one of the cosponsors will be listed next to the "Cosponsor" headline (red arrow). To obtain a full list of cosponsors click the "...........etal." button next to the only cosponsor listed, if applicable. Once you do this, the bill text should appear in the next window containing the full list of cosponsors:

The sponsors name will be repeated in this list, although he or she will be clearly labled "sponsor" (black arrow), and the remaining names will be cosponsors (red arrow).
Therefore, the PVS website will have both sponsors and cosponsors listed for this state, if applicable. In this case, the sponsor is Rep. Kingery and the cosponsors are Reps. Smith (150th) Day, Nance, Sater, Cox, Schad, Faith, Wallace, McGhee, Dougherty, Wilson (130), Wilson (119), Munzlinger, Funderburk and Bivins.
Occasionally you might see a legislator referred to as the 'handler' for his or her chamber. Individuals marked as a handler can be marked as a 'sponsor' in our database.
Missouri's website has gone through some recent updates. If co-sponsors are not listed on the bill text, check by clicking on the "cosponsors" button on the bill's mainpage.
