Additions:
Kristen: VIP has data available for some states that should be reviewed, and other data sources should be evaluated, including our own "Voting Smart" section of our Voter Registration info. The design would largely depend on what data we are able to get. If we are simply redirecting to a 3rd party page, this page would have a selection of our "Voting Smart" information and end with a link to the actual locator. It would be nice if we could take the location data they submit to us and autopopulate the state's forms with that information- geeks, is this possible? Yet another option here would be to give them a phone number for their local election office

Revision [6457]

Additions:
Julia: Obviously we'd like to have our own polling place locator with maps and such, but given our resource constraints and the need for accuracy, we would have to link to the state's polling place locator (using the links that are already on our site for each state's voter registration page). The button does look lonely all by itself, though, so I'd appreciate suggestions on how to flesh this out a bit more.
