Please take a “top-down” approach to cleaning your areas when dusting/ vacuuming. Start high by cleaning HVAC/Lights, etc, then work your way down to the floor. This will ensure we don’t have dust covering our newly cleaned surfaces/vacuumed floors. Questions about how or what to clean can be directed to directors or office manager.
**Everyone:**
- If you see any broken, nasty, icky, bad, yucky, overall not good equipment let a director know.
- Please take any and all items out of the refrigerator. Anything left will be tossed to thoroughly clean.
- A recycling bin will be available for old materials no longer in use.
- The vacuum may not be available when you need it, be patient.
- Personal Desks
- Clean out desk drawers/throw away unnecessary papers.
- Organize materials and file old materials.
- Archive any organizational files.
- Dust computer monitor and keyboard (screen wipes and canned air available).
- Sanitize surface of desk.
- Clean chairs (back, seat and legs).
- Clean scuff marks on walls (magic eraser + little water).
- Return any unused communal equipment including electronics.
- Clean floor around desk where vacuum can’t reach.
- Vacuum floor around your desk space(If vacuum is unavailable, please move on to the next available task)

**EVERYONE:**
- Thoroughly clean your desk area (including your monitor, keyboard, phone, desk surface, and lamp). If you have recently been moved to a new desk or will be, you are responsible for cleaning both your old and new ones. Organize all of your materials in and on top of your desk. File away anything that needs to be filed. Get rid of any trash that a vacuum cannot reach under your desk.
- Complete any urgent or priority work tasks first thing. Submit your weekly report and internal entry, if applicable.
- Complete your assigned cleaning task. If you have questions, concerns or need clarification see the Office Manager. If you get finished with your area, check in with the Office Manager to have them review your space, then see if others need assistance.
- (Election Party Only) If you live in town and stayed over, clean up your room to lodge standards (including washing any borrowed linens)
- (Election Party Only) Check in with the Office Manager or National Director before you leave
**Lodge Cleaners (4+):**
- (Election Party Only) Clean the lodge and wherever else the party expanded to. Return decorations and tarps to proper places. No one on lodge crew should leave the lodge until the Lodge Manager(s) give the go-ahead.

Wipe down all sides and shelves down with a cleaning solution and put all unclaimed items in a designated area of the fridge. Ask everyone to return their items to the fridge. Fill up ice trays.
1) Kitchen area: wipe down the microwave/toaster area and the inside of the microwave; organize and clean everything in the coffee area; clean out coffee pots not in use; wash the community silverware; Unplug the toaster from the outlet and empty the toaster of crumbs. Stock the kitchen with more than enough supplies for the next week (coffee, tea, creamer, sugar, sugar substitute, milk/soymilk)

1) Collect all trash (including from the loft and the bathrooms) in black garbage bags and put in the lodge garbage area. Look for other trash around the office and deal with it appropriately (for example, all the empty boxes around). Gather trash from others’ cleaning efforts throughout the afternoon. Bring all trash to the lodge trash bin or the truck/trailer to be taken to the dump. Break down any boxes and put in the burn pile; replace garbage bags.
**Floors:**
1) Thoroughly vacuum the entire office, including the carpet in the loft. Sweep the bridge to the middle office, loft, loft stairs, conference room, and conference room stairs. Move chairs, get behind desks, etc. Be thorough.
