Overview of PCT Planning and Responsibilities

Planning
In regards to planning, the PCT administration team needs to work collaboratively with the Elections Monitoring and Profiles sub-departments. In order to effectively administer the PCT to any election, Elections Monitoring needs to find and enter the official candidate list, and Profiles needs to complete contact information research (physical address & email address) for all candidates. Due to unknown research resources & unclear secretary of state candidate list deadlines, dates and deadlines will undoubtedly change throughout an election year. Planning on the front end is very helpful, but remaining flexible to change and keeping open lines of communication with Elections Monitoring and Profiles is very much a necessity to successful PCT administration.
Responsibilities
There are many tasks to PCT administration, and knowing who is in charge of what can become confusing. Before PCT testing begins, clearly outline responsibilities, and have a contingency plan in place in case of an unexpected departure. There should be at least 2-3 people who know how to do any step in PCT Administration.
