Oregon HB 2896 - House Passage

Step 1: Locate Bill Information on the Legislature's Website

Go to the state legislature's official website and search for the number of the bill that you are entering (in this example, HB 2896). Once you've located the bill history, review it to make sure you can find all of the required information for the Bill Summary sheet.

Start thinking about a good title and synopsis (brief, clear and non-partisan). You must compose this title on your own. Do not simply copy the title of the bill from the legislature's website, as this title may be too lengthy, confusing, or partisan. Locate the sponsors and co-sponsors, and any other information you cannot find in the paper folder.

Step 2: Fill in the Bill Summary Sheet

Fill in the information on the Bill Summary sheet as shown.
