The bill history page has four categories of sponsors: Author (black arrow), Coauthor (red arrow), Sponsor (blue arrow), and Cosponsor (green arrow). They are separated into the Author/Sponsor categories in order to differentiate between the chambers in which the legislators serve, with the Authors/Coauthors being from the chamber of origin, and the sponsor/cosponsor being from the opposing chamber. The PVS website will list both sponsors and authors as sponsors and cosponsors and coauthors as cosponsors.
Therefore, the PVS website will have both sponsors and cosponsors listed for this state, if applicable. In this case, the sponsors are Sens. Deuell and Van de Putte and Reps. Coleman, McClendon, Ortiz Jr., Zerwas, and King (S), and the cosponsors are Sens. Hinojosa, Wentworth, West, and Zafirini and Reps. Naishtat and Strama.
