- American Judicature Society provides an excellent state-by-state chart of State Judicial term ends, term length, whether or not an election is held, and if the election is retention. For more details by state, see here. To find out which particular justices have their term ending that year see here. Although a current term may be over, you must refer back to the chart to see if an election will happen.
