Office Equipment and Network
All computers, accompanying peripherals, and other equipment and furniture in the office are the property of the University of Texas at Austin and are supplied for Project Vote Smart use only. Interns are not to use their time in the office for personal emailing or any other personal business.
If you notice a problem with any computer, the copy or fax machines, or any other piece of office equipment or furniture, please alert a staff member as soon as possible. The area around your computer, as well as common office areas, should be kept as neat as possible.
All workstations have been set up by Information Technology Services to include necessary software. Modifications to any aspect of the hardware or software configuration are the exclusive responsibility of Information Technology Services. Computers and all connected peripherals should be powered down at the end of the day.
All work-related documents should be saved in appropriate locations on the shared drives, which provide a centralized work location and are archived on a regular basis. Use of computers and network storage for personal files is not permitted and does not bring any guarantee of inviolability. Neither the Project nor the University is responsible for any loss of personal data.
