Vehicles and Parking
Project Vote Smart cannot provide parking for any interns. Please refer to capmetro.org for updated information on public transit options.
If you have a UT parking permit you may park in the designated areas around the building on campus. Please note that Parking and Transportation Services will ticket cars parked without a proper permit. The Annette Strauss Institute is also served by many different Capital Metro and UT shuttle bus lines including, but not limited to, the FA, FW, 1L, 1M, 3, 5, 19, 21, 22, 103, 410, 481, 982, 983, 987, and 990 routes. If you do not have a UT parking permit, and do not wish to take the shuttle or bus, you may park in the neighborhood streets to the North and West of campus, and walk to the office, there are also City of Austin parking meters along Guadalupe and Dean Keeton, as well as in the first few streets of West Campus. There is also a parking garage (San Antonio) that you may use. The fee per hour is posted on the outside.
