Updating Candidate Lists
Filing deadlines change all the time, states do not observe them, election dates change, pct schedules change, etc. Try to keep your calendars up-to-date to reflect these changes. It never hurts to run an update on a candidate list, as long as you have the resources to do so, ideally in the week before the election. Additionally, it may be helpful to track withdrawal and replacement deadlines,if you have the resources,to ensure that any of those changes are caught. Sometimes, states will announce any changes in the candidate list on their website, so they might also be found during the weekly QC Scan.
