How to Test the Web Cluster
Testing Servers Individually
The best way to test Web servers of the cluster is to make adjustments to your /etc/hosts file to point to each individual server. For instance, as of this writing(1/31/2016) here is mine:

# www1
#52.21.247.20 votesmart.org
# www2
52.6.244.17 votesmart.org
# www3
#52.3.56.139 votesmart.org
#52.5.255.187 votesmart.org

Whenever you need to test one, uncomment the line(like www2 above).
