The mailing calendar largely determines the peak seasons of the development division, whereas the election calendar largely determines the peak seasons of the communications calendar. RN1 tends to receive the biggest return, and with the holiday season and staff taking vacation, the month of January tends to be the biggest crunch time for dealing with Incoming donations. The returns will be less with each subsequent renewal mailing, while fundraisers and newsletters will give us little spikes in donations, due to the fact that these tend to be mailed to all members, and not just those who haven't donated yet that year.
