Asus ChromeBox Setup

Initial Setup
- USB creation
dd if=CentOS-7-x86_64-DVD-1503-01.iso of=/dev/sdb bs=8M conv=fsync && sync
- USB to PS/2 adapters are not recognized by pc. Must use USB keyboard and mouse.
Upgrade
- Remove rubber feet and take out 4 philips screws
- A hard shake will remove case
- Alternately 2 of the screws removed can be put in the VESA mounting holes to help remove cover
- Remove write-protect screw circled below:

Jailbreak
- While off insert paperclip in reset hole and power on and hold reset button for 1 seconds
- Once at Chrome OS is missing or damaged screen press CTRL-D
- Press reset button
- Wait about 30 seconds computer will beep and proceed to install developer mode
- Twiddle your thumbs while this occurs and system is rebooted ~5 minutes.
- PC will reboot and you will see Chrome First time setup
- Press CTRL-ALT-F2
- logon as chronos, no password
sudo -s /usr/sbin/chromeos-firmwareupdate --mode=todev crossystem dev_boot_usb=1 crossystem dev_boot_legacy=1 Download and run the ChromeBox setup script using the following two commands (hit enter after typing each command): curl -L -O http://goo.gl/3Tfu5W sudo bash 3Tfu5W
- Install firmware only and reboot with USB drive inserted [option 6]
- Continue > y
- Backup > n
- Headless > y
- Default USB > y
- PXE capability > y
- Default PXE > n
- Enter
- Menu item 10 to shutdown
