After Image Setup

Current image is Win7-sysprep-Nov2015
Setup using 'geeks' user and name PC WIN-34 through WIN-39
Display Settings

If Display settings are changed set back to 800x600 for compatibility with all monitors

Activate Windows
Network settings

Disable IPV6
Disable Wireless
Setup static IPV4 192.168.255.34 - 39
DNS 192.168.255.30, 8.8.8.8

Setup clock and sync with 192.168.255.30
Add to RANCH2 Domain
RANCH2 currently not using roaming profiles to increase performance
Copy files from pez\username to poprocks\username and create 'Favorite' in Windows Explorer to the following
Documents, Downloads
pez pictures to poprocks\media\username

rename favorite to 'Pictures'

Create favorites to poprocks\foldername for all resources user has access

ambassador, images, media, membership, outreach, public, publications

Create shortcut to Donorperfect dpwv.exe

currently on pez\donorperfect\Dpw32

USB Key Creation

Find a windows 7 or later box and prep the usb drive as follows

Run diskpart from elevated command line

list disk
select disk <disk number>
clean
create partition primary
active
format fs=fat32 quick
assign
exit

copy file structure from iso to usb drive

Windows Installation

Initial Installation

Install Windows
Initial user: admin
Initial computer name: Win-PC00
Enable remote desktop
Install rdesktop on Linux PC if it is not installed already

rdesktop is in standard fedora repositories
Usage

DISPLAY=:0.0 rdesktop -u username -p password IPV4Address

Install all updates

Install Microsoft security essentials

Copy the Dpw32 folder from the server to the root of C:\
Copy the 10.0_Update locally and Run as local Administrator and in Windows 95 compatibility mode
Create local shortcut to \\pez\donorperfect\Dpw32\dpwv.exe
Delete C:\Dpw32 folder

Sysprep

Sysprep is not veiwable due to intel video, ensure to have sysprep shutdown once completed
