Contact Info Check:
Occasionally, we will also do checks of each official's contact information. If their contact information is out of date, use the following guidelines to make appropriate changes in Admin:

Search for the official by last name and state or by current office. Go to the addresses tab of the individual's page. Be sure to select the appropriate office, and not the campaign address. Using the official's website, add all addresses and web addresses using the following guidelines:

State Legislators' Address Types
Congressional Address Types
Statewide Officials Address Types
Entering New Addresses
City, State & Zip
Phone & Fax Numbers
E-Mail & Web Addresses

Bio Check:
Occasionally, we will also do updates of each official's bio. If so, follow the Biographical Information Guidelines.

Leadership Position Updates:
Typically after an election, we will do updates of each state's legislative leadership positions. Go to each state legislature's website and check each chamber's leadership. Update our database as needed. Sometimes you can find this information on the party caucus websites as well. Make sure both houses are accounted for, for each state.
Committee Checks:
When taking someone out of office make sure to transfer committee experiences to their biography tab under 'Caucus.' When putting someone into office, check the state legislature's site for their assigned committee experiences. Sometimes it takes a few months after a person has been sworn in for them to be assigned committees. If this is the case, make a note of it and check back later.
Photo Checks:
When doing a bio check or a contact information check, it is usually convenient to throw a photo check into the mix. When doing these, check to make sure we have a recent photo of politicias uploaded to our website. Follow the Photo Updates steps on how to do these checks.
